Oak Hill Memorial Association

The Oak Hill Memorial Association, a not-for-profit organization, has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the historic Oak Hill Cemetery since 1913. The Association’s mission is to share the historic and cultural importance of Oak Hill Cemetery through community outreach, and to preserve and improve the existing facilities to leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

Visit us in person to learn about our Revolutionary War veteran, our much honored Madame, the first Mayor of Birmingham, entrepreneurs, industrialist, Governors, and many more who shaped Birmingham and Alabama.

We at the Association encourage you to tour this historic site.  The Cemetery is open to the public 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday for self guided walking tours.  Guided tours are available with prior arrangement.  Please visit the Pioneer Chapel on arrival.
